May, started off with a huge musical experience for all our 6th grade band students. Some 200+ students from elementary buildings in our district combined for a concert on May 3rd at Osseo Junior High. In addition each band gave concert for their individual schools.
All students can keep their lesson books, but the students need to return the performance book (First Performance) due to budget cuts. Maybe they can get together with a friend or two and play some of the songs in the book. Please encourage your students to play throughout the summer.
Students will not need their instruments for the first or two of 7th grade. Their 7th grade band teachers will let them know when to bring their instrument.
